The HPC@USU team of MAE masters student Kyle Horne, director Thomas Hauser and lead system administrator Nate Benson, has been selected from a competitive national field as one of four finalists in the SC09 Storage Challenge. Other finalist teams are from IBM, San Diego Supercomputing Center, and a joint team of John Hopkins University, George Washington University, Microsoft Research and NVIDIA. This prestigious accomplishment honors the work and innovation of HPC@USU. The four finalist teams will present at SC09, where the winner will be selected based on three broad categories: performance and scalability, effective use of storage and storage-related resources, and innovation.
