HPC resources are freely available to all users using the methods detailed below. As a free resource, we strive to provide all users with an excellent and efficient hpc process. Once you submit your job to the queue, wait your turn until the available cluster resources to accomplish your project are open. Your project should progress through the queue automatically. Ways to enhance your queue status include writing HPC@USU into your funding grant proposals, sharing funds and/or resources with us to enhance our overall computational resources, and collaborating with us on specific research projects.

1. Use HPC@USU’s resources as is:

   • Free to USU clients
   • Easy to access
   • Support for open source software such as OpenFOAM, Python, Gmesh, VisIT

2. Develop personal cluster compatible with HPC@USU resources and share with HPC users

   • You fund hardware and IT maintenance charges
   • We purchase, configure, manage and maintain hardware free of charge
   • We support open source software

3. Develop your own specialized private cluster

   • You fund hardware costs
   • We charge you for purchase, setup, maintenance and management fees
   • No private software support

4. Collaborate with HPC@USU on specialized research projects
