High Performance Computing Utah - ACRES (Advanced Computing Research and Education Project)
HPC@USU has been fortunate to win ongoing USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and CSREES (Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service) awards to fund climate and fluid simulations, to purchase enhanced computing capacity with Wasatch cluster to enable faster processing and greater storage, and to facilitate greater user research. USDA and CSREES in 2007 funded a national symposium entitled Opportunities for High Performance Computing in Agricultural and Life Sciences.
NSF Division of Environmental Biology of Population and Evolutionary
Performed simulations of large-scale spatial evolutionary process. Data generated during these simulations will serve as a basis for evaluating the merits of different statistical procedures commonly applied in the fields of population genetics and phyleogeography
